Air quality in classrooms: what measurements reveal
In classrooms CO₂ levels often exceed limits by the second lesson. The cause is rarely equipment capacity — it is control settings.
During audits we measure airflow rates, CO₂ and temperature under real occupancy. It frequently turns out the system runs permanently at minimum because the control settings were never adjusted after handover.
The second most common issue is unbalanced airflow: some rooms receive more air than needed while others get significantly less than designed.
Much of this can be fixed without investing in new equipment — through balancing, reprogramming the controls and a clear maintenance plan.
